When my son was one, he almost died from anaphylaxis to dairy. We soon learned that he has life-threatening allergies to almost everything in the USDA food pyramid except salt. I had to relearn how to cook and to bake. It took many, many months, but eventually I figured it out. Then I needed therapy. So I embarked on a spiritual overhaul which included developing habits of happiness, empowering my belief system and watching animal videos on facebook. The third one was the most healing.
